College Life

Upon graduation from Gloucester High School I chose to pursue an education away from home. I enrolled in classes from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

I was hesitant to make this choice at first, but now am very thankful I broadened my horizons. The U enabled me to witness a different part of the country and connect with a lot of different people.

The location of the school put me within a short drive of the countries best mountains for skiing and other outdoor activities. Being able to attend a class and then go powder skiing up little cottonwood canyon is something few colleges can offer.

The University also provided me with multiple opportunities to work outside of the classroom in what is often termed “real world work”. It was always very satisfying understanding the work I was putting into a deliverable was worth more than just a grade. The fact that when the project or campaign deliverable was complete it didn’t just get thrown out always made me strive to work harder. I often check in on some of the past clients and businesses I once worked with at the University.
